Picture in a Picture: Lots of family photos in the Teepee

Last night my friend Sue from downstairs stopped in the teepee for a chat, and remarked I had a lot of nice pictures in here, “you must be very close to your family”.  I don’t think I am more than anyone else, but living so far from home it’s a comfort to have their faces around.

Anyway, framed photos are usually something you take for granted (until it’s time to dust) but yeah I do enjoy having them about.  They're mostly of my sisters & nieces, and to be honest I didn't think I really had that many; but now that I’m looking about…

Well, I thought I'd show an assortment of what I’ve got:

Top:  Shawn & baby Sophia, Shawn & Jim with his 2 grown children Michael & Shannon Bottom:  Courtney, Donda, Shawn on Shawn’s wedding day,  Donda & Drew

Here's a picture of Dad in the recording studio, framed in a hammered copper Native American frame, nestled in my CD collection.  I can't imagine a better place to have this.

Here's a favorite pair--my 3 sisters, Shawn, Courtney & Donda (when she was expecting her daughter Drew); on the left is Shawn's little girl Sophia.  Aren't these leather frames cool? 617D5C2B848A9C67_1410_7[1]

Here’s a collage frame that needs updated, it includes my brother Steve’s graduation photo, baby Drew, my brothers & Dad, and me and my girlfriend (at the time) Renee, in the Bahamas.  Where does the time go…. 617D5C2B848A9C67_1410_10[2]

In my bedroom, on my dresser—my mom’s dad, sister Courtney (with our Dad’s arrowhead necklace on the frame), baby Sophia & Drew in a “mud” frame from Africa.  Beneath those are me with my nieces, and Drew on the nightstand.

And finally--Mom n' Dad, with Sophie
