The Vampire, the Witch & the Wardrobe… Chapters 4 & 5 of the Amazing Argo!

You didn’t think I was through yet, did you?  Not to worry, we’re getting there!  When we last left our adventuresome pair, they’d just returned from 1957—only to find themselves on the ocean floor!  So what else are they going to discover down there?

These next pages made me feel downright squeamish to read again after all these years; maybe I’m getting soft in my older years, but I can’t believe I’d threaten harm on my poor sister—even if I was a bloodthirsty vampire.

Shawn for what it’s worth, I’d happily go back & edit these if I could.  And on that sincere note.. let the adventure continue!

  1. The sidebar "and later, Doug has gone to the monitor screens to carefully examine Star Trek for bloopers and blunders..." oh lord, I really laughed at that! And then ... the next frame w/you in a tie, driving a car, 2 Streisand tickets and my face with the 'gurple' sound, I literally had a Grandma Morris laugh ... then finally, when you as a vampire are chasing around looking, with my arm around the corner holding the sign saying "The schmuck went thataway", well I laughed loud enough to make Jim come into the room. I just can't get over the quality of the drawing, how funny the writing is and the suspense I'm feeling reading it!

  2. You probably underestimate the talent in the drawing but the more I look at it, the more I can't believe you just ... did it ... self taught for your own amusement or outlet of being creative. So, so talented.

  3. Thanks very much Shawn! You were the one I did these doodles for more than anyone else, and your very kind words are a reminder why :) Anyway--I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy... (but thank you again!)
